The Young Goat And The Wolf

There was a frisky young goat that would run about the field and get into all kinds of trouble. So one day, the farmer decided to put it atop a sheep shelter to keep it out of harm's way.

The young goat was excited that he could see things far away from the top of the sheep shelter, and began running about the roof.

Not long after, the young goat spotted a wolf near the farm.

"Hey, Mr Wolf!" shouted the young goat. "Come and get me if you can!"

When the wolf heard that, he came closer to the sheep shelter.

"Hey, you old useless wolf!" the young goat jeered. "Look at what's happening to you! Can't even make a young goat scared of you? Come and catch me!"

"Don't be too smug, you little goat," said the wolf. "I dare you to repeat what you just said to me the next time you're down here!"

Moral

Impulsive words only create strifes.
