THE FOX AND THE BRAMBLE

A fox was climbing a hedge when he lost his footing and caught hold of bramble to save himself. Naturally, he got badly scratched; his paws were pricked by the bramble.
In disgust he cried to the Bramble, "That's too much! I came to you for help; why did you hurt me instead?"

The Bramble, interrupting him, replied, "But, fox, you're wrong my friend. I have by nature thorns on me. You were careless and pricked yourself on me."
Moral

Be grateful to those who help.
