The Ass And His Master

An ass belonged to a gardener who gave him little food but lots of hard work.

It made a petitioni to Jupiter.

Jupiter granted his request and caused it to be sold to a tile-maker. But it now had heavier loads to carry.

The ass couldn't take it, and prayed for another change of master.

He was then sold to a tanner, but saw that the new master was more cruel than the other two.


Moral



He who finds discontentment in one place is not likely to find happiness in another.
